Happy Pride Month everyone! As an inclusive design agency, we believe that every person should be able to access and engage with content and services, regardless of their gender, sexuality, or any other aspect of their identity.

Pride Month is a time to celebrate and recognize the incredible contributions and accomplishments of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as to raise awareness of the ongoing struggles and discrimination faced by many in this community.

At Human Digital, this month, and every month, we stand with our LGBTQIA+ colleagues, clients, and friends. We celebrate the progress that has been made, and acknowledge the work that still needs to be done. Together, we can create a world where everyone can live and love freely, we strive to create designs and experiences that are not only accessible and inclusive but that also celebrate diversity and promote equality. We believe that design can be a powerful tool for social change and that by working together, we can create an equitable world for everyone.

So this Pride Month, let's celebrate love in all its forms and commit to creating a more accepting society. Let's use our skills as designers and creators to promote diversity, celebrate differences, and advocate for a world where everyone feels valued and supported.

This is why we took the opportunity to support the LGBTQIA+ Sports organisation; Bentstix Hockey and designed their World Pride 2023 Hockey Tournament website.

About Bentstix Hockey Club

Bentstix Hockey Club is Sydney's only LGBTQIA+ hockey club. Established during the 1996 Sydney Mardi Gras Festival as a social network, the club has grown to become one of the world's largest and most successful LGBTQIA+ hockey clubs, with over 100 members.

Designing the Bentstix website:

We focussed on the overall design of the website as we wanted to represent the diverse and welcoming style of the Bentstix Hockey club. In addition we took inspiration from the WorldPride designs to create a coherent theme that represents both organisations.

Throughout the development process, we ensured that the copy used was inclusive, gender neutral, and welcoming to all. The Webflow platform allows for the website to be further developed with the addition of e-commerce elements, to sell custom merchandise and tickets. We will continue to collaborate with Bentstix and the organisation to create a fantastic World Pride event for all!
