Tell us about yourself and your background
Kia ora, I’m Ben, a designer and strategist with over 16 years of expertise creating better businesses. I work collaboratively with business people to design great experiences for customers while improving efficiency and profitability. I currently run Human Digital, a leading digital agency, and am a board director for Mathematics for a Lifetime charitable trust.
I have worked in New York, London, Sydney, and Auckland with prominent brands including IAG, State Insurance, AMI, icare NSW, Deloitte, Macquarie Bank, CBA, ANZ, General Electric, American Express, Delta Airlines, Wells Fargo, Motorola Solutions, and the Bank of New York Mellon.
I hold a Master of Business Administration from Brown University and the IE Business School and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland. I also have qualifications in Design Thinking and Service Design from IDEO. I am a member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand.
What are the things you truly love about what you do?
I am passionate about making our lives easier and more enjoyable. I like automating repetitive tasks so that people can focus on doing what they love and creating great relationships with other people.
What made you create the Human Digital Agency?
I saw so many managers, executives, and boards wanting to provide great experiences for their customers but struggling to make meaningful changes.
I wanted to help these organisations prioritise and design great experiences that save time, increase profitability, and create a better place to work.
What do you like the most about working here?
I enjoy the people most - the Human Digital team and our clients make it easy to wake up and start the day.
