West End Wins 2022 NZ Masters Rowing Nations
West End Rowing Club won the 2022 Masters Rowing regatta with 119 points at Lake Karapiro in Cambridge New Zealand

The West End Rowing Club Masters won the trophy for the most points at the recent NZ Rowing Masters National Champs at Karapiro. Despite only having a small group of 24 athletes, West End won 20 gold medals in the:
- Women’s A1x, A2x, A4x, B4x, C4x, C1x, C2-, C4-, C8+
- Men’s B1x, C1x, D1x, B4x, C4-, B8+, C8+
- Mixed A4x, B2x, B8+, C8+
The team has been coached by Robbie Manson, ex Olympic Rower, who has been helping the team with their technique and fitness.

“I started rowing at the University of Auckland when I was studying commerce and have recently taken it back up as a master. I really enjoy the learning side of rowing, there are always improvements that can be made to both technique and fitness. It was great to race again with the West End team”
